Shameless begging…

Ok, here’s my problem, I can’t seem to think of anything to post about. You’ve heard of it for decades now, and I’m not afraid to admit that I have what they call bloggers block. I need a muse, are any of the three people that read this willing to help a kid out and present me with a question or topic that you would like to hear me make some nonsense out of? I realize that this is kind of cheap, but I have very little self-respect, so I’m willing to give it a shot. Come on, just a little fix, until I can get the juices flowing again… I’ll be your best friend? Seriously, what’s it going to take to get this deal done?

dude, i hear you. i just wrote about friggin shoelaces. but to be fair, that was something that bothered me a lot when i was a kid.

maybe you should write about speeding tickets, snooze buttons or job interviews. everyone has a story about at least one of those, right?

if a girl sleeps with you the night she meets you, does that shift her from the "datable" category to the "booty call" category?

you got a job? wanna write about it?

finish this story: "so i looked all around me but saw no signs of her. she told me she'd meet me here. i was 5 minutes late, did i miss her?...."

what I recently did to get the steam pumping again was start searching for odd news. Seriously, enter "odd news" in quotes on Google and see what you get. All my recent cooler posts--Ron Jeremy, anus bleaching--were inspired by weird news, and that got me thinking about weirdness in my world, hence: the talking garbage cans.

Whenever you're about to post, just read it through a couple times and see if it makes you laugh or something. Look for shit that makes you laugh out loud, then write about it, and have a good time doing it.

Seems to work for me. Right now, I'm just posting random shit up, and that's been really fun, too.

But seriously... start with the news. Stuff no one else is writing about--science news, cosmological news, new inventions, etc. It's a great breeding ground. Treat it as a writing exercise... you get a framework to start with, and sometimes you'll surprise yourself with how you shot from point A to point J. Strange how the mind works.

Thanks for the ideas guys, unfortunately, I don’t call the shots anymore. As you can see from my latest crappy post, management is F’ing things up…
