Please refer to this, this and this, in regards to what new haircut you should try. I really think this will give you a peppier, more "hip" look.

Perhaps you should just do laser hair removal on your head. Why bother with it anymore, it's just too much work.
Buzz cut. Simple, easy to maintain, classic. Not sure how that would go with the beard.
